Welcome to November

Hello Friends,
 

They say that Pinot Noir pairs perfectly with Turkey. Now that it is November, it is an appropriate time to stock up on some Pinot for your Thanksgiving feast. This week, our TGIF will be the 2021 Pommard Pinot Noir. Regularly $50/bottle, TGIF ($30/bottle) for our beloved wine club members. Let me know if you want to pick up, stash, or ship.

And now for a harvest update. The first three weeks of October were a wild ride. We brought in 75% of our grapes in 12 days. The following varietals were unusually ripe at once: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Grenache Blanc, Syrah, Pinot Blanc, and our Grenache for Rosé. And then, the harvest gods gave us a few days off (which we were grateful for), and this week, we will bring in Sangiovese, Viognier, and more Syrah. I'm pretty sure the last of the fruit will take its sweet time in November, but the fruit continues to look beautiful, and the chemistries have been spot-on!
